iClaudius
Film Director
iClaudius’ passion for visual storytelling began young, inspired by his mother’s photography and travel slides images that showed him the power of memories captured on film. Born in Trinidad & Tobago and raised in Vancouver, he found his footing early through one of Western Canada’s first TV and film school programs, learning every part of the craft from directing and lighting to editing and performance.
He entered the industry in 1991, working across major TV and feature productions in Vancouver, including three years on The X-Files in both Production and Art Departments, before moving into commercials and building broad on-set experience as an Assistant Director, Production Manager, and Art Department Assistant with international production companies. In 2002 he relocated to Kuala Lumpur, mentored under renowned director Farouk al Joffery, and began directing full-time, traveling extensively on projects across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
Over the years, iClaudius’ work has earned multiple regional awards and nominations across music videos and TVCs in Canada and Southeast Asia. Today, his portfolio continues to expand through global projects, with his next chapter focused on stepping into feature filmmaking and telling larger, more ambitious stories.
