Marcel De Silva is a Malaysian based director whose sleek, edgy, and innovative visual style is shaped by his Portuguese-Chinese heritage. Known for bold, majestic imagery and a ‘believe in the impossible’ creative mindset, he is consistently sought after by international agencies and selected clients.

Marcel’s career began in music as a Sony Music recording artiste and album producer, before transitioning into film production in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. He built a strong foundation as a producer and line producer across commercials and documentaries, then moved into directing music videos, earning awards that opened the door to high-demand TV commercial directing across Southeast Asia and beyond. Today, he continues as a freelance regional director, represented by select production houses worldwide, with formal training in graphic design, fine art, and design (Malaysia and Sydney).
